FAQs on Therapy Services
-
After you book a consultation, I’ll reach out via email to schedule a free 15-minute phone call. During this call, you can share what you’re hoping to work on in therapy, ask any questions you may have, and get a feel for my approach. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll move forward by scheduling your first full session — the intake.

Your first session — also called the intake — is a little different from future sessions. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other, talk through what’s bringing you to therapy, and begin setting some goals. I’ll also ask a few questions to better understand your background and what support might be most helpful. You’re welcome to bring any concerns or questions — this space is yours.

I belong to a group practice, Intuitive Healing Psychotherapy Practice, that is considered an Out of Network provider for insurance.
If you have Out of Network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill each month, which you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. You’re also welcome to check your benefits using the Mentaya tool available on Intuitive Healing’s website. Click here to learn more.

Every client will need a credit card on file, but you can choose to pay by card, cash, or venmo.
If paying by card, you will be charged the morning of your session each week.

When you commit to therapy, you commit to a consistent weekly appointment on the same day/time each week. I also offer twice-weekly therapy for individuals and couples and can assess if this is appropriate after our first session together.

You must cancel at least 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, you’ll be responsible for the full session fee. That said, I understand that emergencies come up — just contact me, and we’ll do our best to figure it out together.
